forgotten paintings (cards)

The other day Mum showed me these paintings from the past which I'd completely forgotten about.  They're quite nice, some water colour, some acrylic which I turned into cards (as I do with nearly all of my paintings) and you can see them on the card page.

perranuthnoe rocks and sea

Hello, I've been in Holland for a week or so to visit friends which was very nice.  I didn't have much time to paint but now I'm back, I've started again..
This is my latest painting of the rocks and shore at Perranuthnoe with St Michael's Mount in the distance, teeny little sailing boat.  It was difficult to take a good pic of though because the photo is square but my camera viewer oblong (not very technical see!).  So I've taken two shots of it.  Hope you like it.  It's quite big, 30" x 30" (80cm x 80cm) possibly bigger.

Old Fashioned Roses

Old fashioned lilac-white roses in a glass vase with magic golden vessel, about to slide off the chest of drawers...

Finally completed today 27 February, 2011. 20" x 16" (51cm x 41cm)

Acrylic on Canvas

Blossom House

A picture of the house where I live, except these blossom trees aren't in exactly the same place! Little bit of artistic licence there!
It measures 20" x 16" (51cm x 41cm)

Here's a close up of the painting so you can see how thick the paint is that I've used for the blossoms!

2011 Acrylic Paintings

I love all the seasons, and especially the changing skys.  Most people think of beautiful skies as being clear bright blue or pale blue with fluffy clouds.  I also love stormy skies and the dark silhouette of lacy winter trees.

Cloudy February Sky at Dusk
(think I might make this a little brighter and add some more pink sunset seeing as spring is round the corner.)

Hello!

I hope you enjoy looking through this website/blog and find something which makes you smile.

I haven't finished adding to it yet.   You've probably noticed that already!!

The Cards page will link easily with the Acrylic and Watercolour Pages eventually.  Just click on the purple headings above.
I have many more paintings and thoughts to add, meanwhile I look forward to any comments you would like to make in order to improve this blog or to see something on it you would like.

Thanks!

Bye for now.

Jean
